Schedule

  1. Sat Oct 17, 2026 · 1–4 pm — Design Your First Quilt Pattern with Pro-Stitcher Designer (Beginner–Intermediate)
Have you ever wanted to create your own quilting designs? This beginner-friendly class is the perfect place to start. Learn the fundamentals of Pro-Stitcher Designer as you explore the essential tools used to draw, edit, and customize quilting designs. You'll gain hands-on experience creating simple designs while learning drawing tools, modifying shapes, editing nodes, and preparing designs for quilting. By the end of class, you'll have the confidence to create basic quilt designs and a solid foundation to keep exploring Designer.
Prerequisite: Knowledge of Pro-Stitcher Lite or Pro-Stitcher Premium.
  2. Sat Nov 21, 2026 · 1–4 pm — Beyond the Basics: Pro-Stitcher Designer Techniques (Intermediate)
Ready to take your Pro-Stitcher Designer skills to the next level? This intermediate class builds on the fundamentals and introduces more advanced techniques for polished, professional-looking designs. We'll dive deeper into editing, node manipulation, accurate drawing, combining and modifying designs, smooth curves, and advanced tools—plus time-saving tips that make designing more efficient. Expand your skills for unique borders, blocks, motifs, and edge-to-edge designs.
Prerequisite: Class 1 or a working knowledge of basic Pro-Stitcher Designer tools.
  3. Sat Dec 19, 2026 · 1–4 pm — Inspired by the Quilt: Designing Custom Edge-to-Edge Patterns (Intermediate)
Every quilt has a story—let the quilting enhance it. Learn how to import a quilt photo or quilt top image into Designer and use it as inspiration for a custom edge-to-edge design. Overlay design elements, audition ideas, and build motifs that complement the piecing, fabric, and style of the quilt. Practice tracing, spacing, editing, and refining until you have a cohesive edge-to-edge pattern uniquely suited to the quilt.
Prerequisite: Class 1 or basic Designer tools.
  4. Sat Jan 9, 2027 · 1–4 pm — Inspired by the Quilt: Designing Custom Quilting with Pro-Stitcher (Intermediate)
Take your designs beyond edge-to-edge into custom quilting. Import a quilt photo or top into Designer and plan quilting that enhances every block, border, and sash. Analyze piecing, audition motifs, design block-specific elements and border treatments, and develop quilting plans that highlight each quilt's character—whether you're quilting your own work or designing for clients.
Prerequisite: Class 1 or basic Designer tools.
  5. Sat Feb 6, 2027 · 1–4 pm — Say It With Stitches: Creative Name Designs in Pro-Stitcher (Intermediate)
Personalization adds a special touch to every quilt. Explore the Name function to create one-of-a-kind quilting designs from names, words, and phrases. Create projects with single names, multiple names, monograms, and meaningful words. Arrange text, combine it with motifs, design custom edge-to-edge patterns, and use editing tools to resize, reshape, connect, and enhance—perfect for family quilts, gifts, memory quilts, and client work.
Prerequisite: Class 1 or basic Designer tools.
